I am posting here because a lot of people are running a lifted truck with the factory AMP steps. Do you like them? Do you have the extensions on them? Do you offroad and if so did you ever damage them? I want to install them on my trucks but never seen one with the extensions in person.

Extensions suck. It adds another articulation angle and step hangs way down. Go with the XL's if you off-road. They are like a rocker and cover up along the pinch welds. I used to work for Amp a few years ago. I believe they went 3" lower than std Amp step.

Have them, love them. 4" lift, no extensions. Don't off road much but they are exposed to objects like big rocks and stumps if you were doing such things.

I had them on prior trucks and never had an issue. 6" lift on 35's and lowered near half way. Worked for the other half, good for me too.
Putting them on my new '21 bighorn, getting 3.5 lift and 35's.

Considering getting these for a stock height 2021 2500 Bighorn Crew Cab diesel. We have factory bars now and they are too high.
Can anyone tell me how far the standard ones lower? I need at least 2 inches lower (3 would be better) so my wife can get in the truck easily (she tore some ligaments in her leg).
Thanks
