I know there's been a lot of these lately, but need some opinions.

Getting my new work truck soon and need to get a bed cover ordered. Don't want the hard cover like I have now since it's tough to haul large items, so I want some sort of retractable cover. The three covers I've narrowed it down to are the Retrax One, Retrax Pro, and Bak Revolver X2 (new Roll-X). Water-tightness is my primary concern, and knowing that it will hold up over time is also important.

The Bak Revolver X2 is the lowest cost of the three and has a 3-year warranty.

Retrax One is about $250 more and has a lifetime warranty.

Retrax Pro adds an additional $450 to upgrade from the plastic cover to all aluminum. This one I have a hard time justifying for my use, but it's definitely a nice cover. Also has a lifetime warranty.

I had the RollBak and loved it. I rarely had any issues with water and once I straightened up the seal I never did. I went through 3 inches of rain while traveling through LA and didn't get a drop on the wedding crap in the bed. Only reason I didn't buy it again was I have the shorter bed now and couldn't lose the bed space. But I liked em enough to purchase the RollX and love that.

Can't beat Retrax IMO. I had a polymer one on my old truck that got damaged after several years, and they sent me a new replacement. I have the Retrax Pro on order right now for my RAM. If You are going to load anything on top of it, I would bite the bullet and get the Pro. Pay once, cry once.

I just went through those texas storms with over 2ft of water coming down over 2 weeks. It was nuts here and it was enough to make my house shift, but the bed was dry :D I just wrote a review if you want to read it.

I put on an Undercover Flex last week and it's pretty nice. Got a little scratched up in shipping but not awful. Last night we had a huge rain and there was only a little bit of water in the bed afterwards. It's neat to see the water drain out of the internal channels/mounts and out the tubes they supply. There is a hole on each side at the bed front that you can route them through. It is high in some areas so it may seal better after I lower the mounts but it's not like I'm putting books back there.

Amazon has prices a lot cheaper than the rest of the web and no tax on this seller at least to Texas. Less than $750 shipped.

I have one on my megacab. I had to adjust it twice, but there are no high spots or leaks anymore.

I had a BakFlip on my 2010 and like it a lot too. Only thing I didn't like was blocking the back window when folded up. I also had a RollBak on my Power Wagon and liked it as well, but the tailgate seal didn't last long and ended up leaking pretty bad. This design butted up against the tailgate rather than having a lip to go over the tailgate like the newer designs do so I don't think they would have this issue.

I'm an idiot, wife was not happy I was making love to my truck so I rushed the install and the front of the two rails is sitting on the bed lip. I need to move it back even though it looks like there is some adhesive gasket material that will fight me. She gets jealous when I work on the truck. It should seal better but there is still a gap between tailgate and the bed from the factory that no tonneau can fix.
