I have a 2014 Ram 1500 and the fuel gauge started failing after I was rear-ended a couple of months ago. I had a brand new mopar unit installed and the dealer released everything. However, I am having the same issue still. Anyone have additional ideas?

Thanks!

Check continuity on pins 2 and 3 to ground. Should be none. If there is, you may have a wire insulation break somewhere.

The "signal" the gauge receives is just a resistance value. If the insulation is broken it will throw off the resistance

Thanks. I think I might have to replace that harness. I played with it some and seems like everything is working, until I hit the right bump at least.
