Another intermittent EPS (is it something in the water?)

Recently the EPS on our 2013 started flaking out. The behavior seems to be that of an electronics issue. It will generate a C2217-00 code and sometimes when I clear the code, it will work until the vehicle is restarted. Sometimes just starting the truck enables it to work. Could there be something in the start switch / circuit?

I've...
- Checked all fuses
- Checked all plugs
- Traced the wires
- Checked voltage at the EPS

I've seen folks mention removing the cover of the EPS to look inside, are there any pictures and has exploration yielded any useful information? I REALLY hate to have to replace the entire rack just because of the EPS module, especially at the cost.

Don't know how you can delete a message - but I've resolved this one. Sold it to the salvage yard.
