Been lurking around here for a few weeks now, figured I'd finally make an introduction.
I'm Walt. 38. Army vet, VW tech. Been a car nut all my life, and pretty much strictly a VW/Audi guy. But, I've got a boat addiction too, which necessitates a truck. Started with a Chevy, then a Tundra, and a little over a year ago picked up my '14 Ram Ecodiesel. Gotta be honest, I'm really starting to love the thing.
Had a bunch of CEL issues the first 1,000 miles. I was getting pretty anxious to get this thing bought back as a lemon. But, they finally got it figured out around the 800 mile mark. Then I started seeing 30+mpg's on the highway. 26mpg towing the jetskis. 19mpg towing the boat. And, I started falling in love with her.
She's a Tradesman, so really came with nothing. 4x4. Crew Cab. And Uconnect 5. I've added OEM rear view cam, leather steering wheel with radio controls, and just today bolted on some 0 mile 2016 Sport 20" wheels/tires. Looking into adding a premium cluster, UC8.4, step bars, leveling kit, and painting the stupid black "look at me I'm the cheap model" front upper bumper cover. Soon.
Anyhoos, that's me. I'll be posting a bunch of stupid questions in the DIY forum soon enough! Thanks for all you've posted before, it's helped me quite a few times already!
