So, just a general question/concern. Is anyone in Canada, Alaska or other very cold, snowy places running a Vararam? I am a little concerned snow build up/ sucking into or blocking the intake. I would hate to hydrolock my truck with snow... very embarassing...

There was a Ram owner from Calgary with a Vararam on his 4G Hemi a couple years ago
paint matched it up real nice and promptly removed it and sold it on kijiji at a loss after the first snow storm of the year totally plugged it with slush.

He posted pics on DT showing a dripping wet filter.

I know a kid out in Drumheller pulls his Ram Air Hood off in the winter cause it fills the engine compartment and filter assembly with snow in the winter.
Puts his stock hood back on for the winter
Doesn't really apply, but it lets you know how much snow can affect things

Fine show will get up to the filter, but it is not an issue...just check the filter on occasion. If you are seeing slush built up on the filter, then I would not run it during the winter months. We have not had any customers hydrolock their motors, but I would not feel comfortable with slush built up on the filter. Fine snow is very light, so even if it melts, it would not be enough water to harm the motor. Heavy slush is different though, and would not be worth the risk IMO.
