Sorry for reviving an old thread but I said I would post updates when they happened or in this case when I got ready and since I can'tedit the original post.

ATI Super Dampner
I installed the Super DampnAnda few years back and I'm happy with it. Can't say I noticed a power gain but the engine revs faster.

Core 4x4 Trail Track Bar
Today I installed an adjustable track bar. Since the original post I went to have 35 x 12.50 tires put on only to find out my factory wheels were only 8" wide. Since it was the tire shops screw up they sold me a set of 295 60s (think that is the sixe) for the same price. This made the tires 36" tall and 11.5 wide. Immediately my truck seemed unstable in the rear. Every time I would get in it hard the rear end would shoot out to the right and when I would let off it would shoot left. When I say the rear end went right I mean to the point I felt like I was going to crash the truck. Even through acceleration the truck felt like it was on the verge of going sideways. After doing a little thinking I attributed it to flex in the side wall of the new, taller, tires. After a few weeks I ordered a new set of 9" wide wheels and it honestly helped but but the unstable feeling was still there. A few weeks later, during the Father's day sale, I ordered the track bar and installed it today. I'm happy to report the unstable feeling is gone. When I hammer the gas the truck runs straight and true. Definitely worth installing.

This has to be my last post on this topic but I think it is important. I've known in my heart and soul that muffler shops have been lying to me about crimped pipes and back pressure but at the same time my local shop is owned and run by gear heads. My aluminized exhaust finally rotted out and after much thought I bought an ARH cutback. It was an... experience! It was ordered in October of 2025 just before the big winter storm. That along with the holidays and a missing part it was January 17th before the install. The missing part caused me to have to drive my son's 2021 VW Golf GTI turbo charged matbox car. After installing a mandrel bent exhaust my truck pulls away from his car! Moral of the story... Stop allowing muffler shops to lie to you about crimped pipes and back pressure. I loved the way my truck sounded before. It dosen't sound bad know and it amazes me how a straight through muffler, literally you can see through it, can be 1/3 quieter but th3 performance gain is unreal. I have a completely different truck. Now, the fitment is crap. I'm not at all happy with the position of the tips and I'm trying to find someone willing to do a little cutting and welding on stainless but I'll deal with the poor looks for the gains I got in performance.

This is great and accurate info. There are a few things that rob power when it comes to exhausts. Chambered mufflers have been proven to rob a little hp and crimped bends do as well. Crimped bends reduce 1 to 2 sizes on the bends which already slow down exhaust flow, so that makes the bends decrease flow even more!

Mandrel bends and straight through mufflers are the only way to go to gain hp and tq. Then there is mid pipe design too which is another topic all together, y vs h vs x pipe vs true duals....thats a whole other convo.
