I am planing on going back to stock height with my truck and running a 2 inch level either max trac or Bilstein. Experienced Opinions are welcomed. My biggest question is tire though. I'm thinking about running a 285/75r17 toyo at2 on a 17x8.5 wheel with 4.75 offset. Would this fill out the truck and look good or do I need to just go with a 35x12.50r17. Weight goes up considerably and I'm assuming fuel economy will be considerably worse. Please help with the decision lol. I would be willing to go 33x12.50 as well But they seem to only be a true 32. I want to be able to use my truck for daily use as well as camping and hunting. Fuel economy info is also welcomed lol. Thanks I know I am asking a lot but I'm tired of searching and not really finding answers and or pics. Have at it!

What about 315/70/17? That's a 34" tire and would look pretty good with a level.

Go with Bilsteins if you have a 4x4. Not sure you can use them on a 2x4, but I could be wrong.

It is a 4x4. I was also looking at the 315/70 but couldn't find a lot of options. I was looking at the geolandar at/s because it's still in the 61-63 lb range. Tread wise it's very street worthy. I know it would do well in the sand just didn't know how well it would fill out the look. I will search further for pics of that setup. Thank you! Open to more ideas and pics guys

Well that didn't take long lol.

On a serious note I'm just not sure if there will be a big difference as far as performance goes between a 315/70/17 at 63lbs compared to a 35/12.50 at 70-75 lbs. I assume there will be for rotating mass but as far as total fuel economy and towing ability loss I don't know. My diesel was so much easier. Enough to and tow capacity to not matter. This crap is driving me nuts!

As far as the leveling option , FWIW , I went with bilsteins @2.8 " . Pretty easy install and the ride is better than stock imo

If you go 2.8 does front end still meet specs or does it pull the bottom of the tire in and wear the outer edge?

Alignment is required after a level install , I drove it for 3 days prior to the alignment " it drove fine " and I couldn't see any wear issues at all . I never talked to the alignment tech , as far as driving it feels no diff after alignment though .

Just a reminder that if you level a 14 you should plan on replacing the UCA's. Beginning in 13 there has been numerous problems with upper ball joints coming out of the UCA's.

I know I have to align it After any front end change. I was curious if when they align it in the 2.8 setting if the camber can be adjusted flat again or if the bottom of the tire is pulled in a little

I went with the Mevotecs UCAs when I installed my bills @+ 2.8 "
Make sure you paint them first , I heard people say the rust quickly .
The MEVOTECS are solid and have greasable ball joints and for $49 ea well worth it imo from Rock Auto !

I've been running my bills @+2.8" for about 2000 miles the ride is better than stock and I can't see any unusual wear on my tires ..
Hope this helps !
