We're looking at replacing the stock 20" chrome wheels on our 2011 Sport Quad cab, since the chrome is starting to flake.

These XD813 Battalions are what we are considering: LINK

Doubt we'll order from TireRack, since we're in Canada, but I should find someone who can get them.

Any issues using these wheels? They have a -24mm offset - Not sure what is stock for offset.

Also, these have some milled areas. Do I need to do anything to protect the wheels in these areas? A clearcoat perhaps?

Finally, will the stock lugnuts work with these wheels? If I go to buy lugnuts how do I size them?

Thanks!!!

New wheels should come with new lug nuts , your stock offset is +18. So you are coming out about an 1 5/8" (42mm)from stock plus maybe add another inch to that because you are also going from an8" to a 10" wheel. The rest depends on your tire and your suspension height. You may need a leveling kit at the very least. I'm no expert , I'm sure someone else will chime in who has a similar setup. Good luck

KMC XD series wheels are cast aluminum in black or in black with milled accents.

My XD798 Addict wheels have held up great on two trucks and over 90K miles. They are black with milled centers. The centers haven't needed anything to protect them as there is a clear coat over the entire wheels and I believe that is how KMC makes all their wheels.

In your case, your rims measure out at 20" x 9" with a positive offset of 15mm and a bolt circle of 5 lug pattern x 139.7mm bolt circle diameter. Centerbore is 77.8mm. Your lugs are 9/16" diameter with a 18UNF thread.

As far as the offset, a -24 mm offset compared with a +15 mm offset results in a difference of 39mm or approx. 1.5". You'd need some flares.

But...You can get those Battalion wheels with a +18mm offset in a 20x9 with the right bolt circle. 3mm = a 0.118" difference.

Most new wheels don't come with lugs and in my case, I got a full set of Gorilla "The System" lug nuts where each nut is a wheel lock. The stock lug nuts did not work on the XD wheels due to the acorn pattern needed to fit the wheel properly. Your wheel and tire shop can source the right lug nuts for you based on the wheel you spec.

For the record , all of the wheels I have bought new have come with locking lugs on all of them.,guess I'm just lucky! Also, your stock chrome clads are a 20x8 wheel with a 19.05 positive offset. That being said , you will still need flares or ruin your paint.... Also with a wider rim your tire will be wider as well so expect even more negative offset.
I have seen some stock wheels come in a 9" like the sport or the Laramie , but as far as I know the clads are eight. Offset is all 19.05

This is what I have been finding, either way he is going to want some flares and possibly a leveling kit depending on his tire. My 13 sport wheels had a+19 and I went to a 20x9 with a 0 offset with 325/60/20. Definitely required a leveling kit and with 1 3/4 flares was even with the flares.

I've had no issues with the XD wheels on my Ram. I've had them since 2012. As for maintainence, all I do is wash them regularly with Dawn dish detergent.

From what I see on the KMC website, XD81329055318 should be a perfect fit for our 2011 Ram 1500 Sport.

Now to find a dealer in Strathmore/Calgary with a decent price on them.

Still need to decide on new tires or keep the Coopers we have.
