...and, if you're **** about tire rotations, just consider them a sacrificial item and purchase new every few years.

That TPMS system came in handy last night. I must of hit a nail driving home in a dark, country road. It flashed telling me I was losing air from front right tire very quickly. I got a full size spare which I knew was good to go since I lowered it last week to undercoat the truck. Any way 3 of my bolts were bulged or distorted, I blame the guy that does state inspections going nuts with impact gun. Two of them I was able to remove but the last was impossible. Fortunately have a friend that lives 10 mins away from where I was and he came up with some tools. Long story short we had to chisel away at that cheap, soft chrome cover and beneath it was a a 20mill bolt, a little distorted but good enough to work loose. I just ordered 20 new lugnuts on Amazon that reviewers say are more durable than stock. We'll see.
I've run into that many times, fixin' cars for a living! The use of an impact gun is the biggest no-no, but everyone does it. Secondly, the dissimilar metals lend to electrolysis/ corrosion jacking, so there's that. My experience has been to replace all of them with solid chrome units, which sound like what you're doing. In the future, if you want them to last, DO NOT use impact tools on them.

Since you have that going on, you might want to squirt oil in your truck's box frame. I just saw a guy's Chevy truck box frame and it was totally 'gone' on the bottom side. Any box frame in the salty N will end up that way unless treated with some rustproofing. Best of luck.

Oh yeah. I'm fanatical when it comes to oiling/rust proofing. If my truck catches fire it'll burn for a month. :D

Don't park next to any battery trucks or cars then.:Big Laugh:
I know this is overdone: But if I park my 6 yoa truck anywhere in a parking lot, and I see a friggin rolling battery monster, like Tesla, or any other brand, I park 4 rows away.

I sent the truck to discount for new TPMS and a road force balance. They called and said they were replacing all the lug nuts because they were swollen and they adjusted the price to be the same as they originally quoted (basically gave me the road force balance for free).

Gas cars are much more likely to be involved in a fire.

Gas cars were involved in about 1500 fires per 100k vehicles sold while EVs were involved in just 25 fires per 100k vehicles sold.

Thing is you can put out a gas fire with normally available fire extinguishers, and once out, they usually don't start burning again, not so much with an EV, just because they seem to be out now, doesn't mean they won't self combust again in a few hours or days. Throw in the fact you can usually get out of an ICE vehicle that's on fire, there have been reports of EV's being hard to get out of if they're on fire

IIRC Mr Silver09 is a fan of EV. If that makes him happy works for me. I will if I can accomplish NEVA have a rolling lithium fire place. Prefer my fires in a fire pit not under my drivers seat. lol.

Better get a bicycle since a gas vehicle is statistically 60 times more likely to catch fire than an EV.

You're on the wrong forum to promote an EV,you won't get much love for one on here.
Little advice you should follow, especially if you ever need any help with your ICE vehicle, like say when you're asking questions about a true trac install, just saying ;)
BTW what commonly available fire extinguisher are you using to put out your EV when it's on fire on your driveway:Big Laugh:

I’m not promoting anything, I’m correcting incorrect information. Is the information I provided incorrect? Do you have data that shows that EVs are more likely to catch fire?

If you don’t want to provide info to me in another thread because of that I’m not losing any sleep over it, believe me.

Well to throw it back at you, clue us into how or what you're using to put out this EV fire when it's on your driveway.
What you think your correcting has already been corrected many times on here,so you're not really posting any new info that hasn't already been posted.
And now clue us into how you're burying this burning EV on your concrete driveway :waytogo: :Big Laugh:

I have an LFP battery EV, it’s a very different battery composition than Lithium Ion that burns when ruptured.

I’ll be just fine.
