Any way to retain Uconnect 3 last used source on next start?

All,

I'm tired of having the radio always turn on when starting my 2018 1500. Maybe I missed it, but is there a way with the 5" Uconnect to have it remember and boot with the last used source upon next start, instead of the radio always coming on when it can't find an initial BT connection? I've tried muting the radio, and leaving the source on "phone" before turning off the truck, but it always starts with the radio on. I'd like to at least start the truck with the radio muted without having to push mute it.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I can't speak to the UConnect 5 system but I think there is a setting deep in the menus in the 8.4 to retain the last input source used upon the next start up. I'll check next time I drive my truck. You might want to drill down into your Setting menu and see if you have such a setting. (If you haven't done so already.)

Just got back from driving. The only thing I found was a setting in the Audio menu called "Auto-Play" which is a setting to automatically play the USB source if a USB stick is inserted in the USB slot.

I presume you want your truck to connect to your phone when you get into the vehicle and start it, whether for making phone calls or to listen to music via your phone. I'm not sure if that is possible.

I know this post is old but my 2019 does the same, when starting my truck the radio will come on tuned to FM station and the volume will be loud. I have to hit the mute to get my ears back to normal. doesnt happen all the time but it does frequently.
