Hey y'all,
I'm trying to figure out how I can get my jet ski and my boat to the lake in one trip. It's really hard to get the jet ski in the truck bed, but it has a trailer. My boat is just a 14' v hull so the trailer is not very big at all. All I can think of is mounting a hitch receiver to the boat trailer and towing the ski trailer behind it. Is this doable or safe, and has anyone done it? All I can find on line is towing behind 5th wheel campers, and I'm sure that's a lot different.

How far are you planning to pull? We used to double pull a couple utility trailers for farm stuff but the lead trailer was heavy af which helped to keep the rear trailer stable. We also did back roads when possible and never went above 50mph. We could get across the county every couple of days for the few weeks a year that we needed to do it but but by no means would I want to take that an hour down the highway.

Its not legal to double tow in all states so you would been to check your state rules before doing so, I have seen this done many times in a few farm states and for the first time trying to do so would not want to drive on hwy or free way at speeds over 55 MPH.

Or extend your boat trailer tongue and add bunks like above.

In Alberta it is legal to tandem pull trailers with your pickup. Towing two ball pull trailers is a bad idea and is not legal in Alberta. A tandem Fith wheel must be the front trailer and a ball pull in back with a frame attached hitch on the fith wheel. This arrangement also works far better for control and stopping.

The cradle is a great idea but you need to be very sure you get the layout, hitch weight and weight carrying capacity of the tonque right.

I have double towed trailers with my old truck. There are specific traffic regulations in my Province for this that say the first trailer must be a 5th wheel and have dual axles. And I think that there was a max. lenght of 60 feet total. I used to haul a 26 ft 5th wheel travel trailer and had a jet ski on a trailer attached to the rear bumper of the travel trailer. I used to just travel to a local lake. It was nice not to have to make two trips but I could not see the Jetski trailer at all so when I arrived at the lake I was always glad to see the Jet ski was still there!. I had to drop off the Jetski trailer then back up my travel trailer into the camp spot. I noticed when traveling to the next Province they had signs that advised doulble trailers were not allowed.
