Anyone know this part?

First time poster here, long time reader.

I'm hoping someone more experienced can help me identify a part number or even the name of the piece I'm looking at.

I suspect it has something to do with the coolant but not sure. It's rusty and has started leaking a bit and I want to replace it.

it's a 2011 ram 1500 5.7

Looks like you're referring to the water/coolant pump

Just not orientation how it's installed on the truck. Year will vary slightly.

Heater hose outlet tube on the water pump.
Don't think it's serviceable, probably need the whole pump. Others can verify.

It's a coolant feed pipe for the Heater Core. Replace the water pump and the hose. Flush the coolant out and replace, in case metal fragments have traveled throughout the cooling system.Problem solved

on my 04 this is called "water pump inlet tube". it is avail. at rock auto for about 20.00.

good time to ck. all other cooling system componets and do a flush.

Rust on outside means rust on inside......as others recommend.....flush & change pump & stat.
