perhaps will take a file to it and notch it where its a problem.

Maybe take a heat gun and soften it up and mold it where it is making contact? You might run the risk of opening up the seal with filing it?

On sale, you have a collaboration for a DIFFERENT set of lights, or were you referencing the current gen 2 which appears to have confirmed sequentials switchback, and dual drls... aka the full monty. Lol. I agree I'd rather non smoked lenses since one of the major reasons for wanting new lights is well.... more light and I am reticent to sacrifice any of it needlessly... don't NEED smoked lenses.
It's my understanding the lens is clear and the DRL and turn signal strips are smoked.

Am I wrong?

It appears that just the turn and drl's are smoked

Thanks, I didn't get the Gen 1 version because it wasn't smoked a few months back.

These are now perfect to me, but I may hold to see if the price comes down a bit...I don't need them, but I really, really, really want them!

Anyone running these with Hikari LEDs? Or any LEDs for that matter?

I'm running the gen 1 with Hikari led's in the lows and would compare them to a 35w hid kit. The auxbeam led's I bought for the highs I'm not all that pleased with.

When I get the time I'm going to open these up and swap out the drl's and turns with some switchback strips I bough from TRS. And try and get a set of 9005 opt7 led's to fit for the highs

Same setup I plan on ending up with.

I bought chrome to match my Big Horn, I like the gen 2 features but do NOT like the smoked pieces. So I will make a gen 1.5, I guess :)

Any reason why you wouldn't just use another set of Hikari LEDs in the highs too?

I had a set of the cheaper Hikaris in my Amazon car along with the auxbeam one's and didn't notice I deleted the wrong one. I figured I'd try them out.

You can’t just run any led if you want to keep the dust caps on. You have to make sure you get ones that they a low profile to fit under the dust cap. And are not pressured up against the dust caps

Honestly. I was looking for oem projectors but I didn’t wanna pay for them plus the conversion harness. Cause mine were Stock halogen. Couldn’t be any happier

Also just make sure you get the correct bulbs mine was H1 & H7. Also when I first installed them there was a very slight flicker. All I did was change every to LED in Alfa and haven’t had a problem since. Have had mine installed for about 3 months and couldn’t be a happier with my choice. My boss actually thought the were OEM. We parked our trucks next to one another and you couldn’t tel the difference unless you looked at the side where the logo is on OEM.

That's good to hear I think I'm going to go for the 2019 style. I feel bad for all the folks who jumped on the Morimoto XB headlights. These look like those for a third of the cost...
