I have a 2001 WS bench seat and the seat belt buckle is routed thru the seat bottom. The plastic trim piece is missing on the driver side allowing the buckle to fall into the seat. I’m thinking of using a seatbelt extender or extension to solve the problem till I find a set of those plastic trim pieces for sale ( absolutely no luck finding any ) I bought some extenders from Amazon but they are not compatible with the 2nd gen seatbelts.

If you plan to use it, a seatbelt assembly is a safety device not worth penny pinching, AFAIC.

I've used these for years on multiple vehicles, including my Warlock and previous 2 vehicles and have never been less than 100% satisfied with the build quality.

They shut up seatbelt alarms and make attachment and removal easier, especially when wearing a winter jacket.

The company is very professional, ships to Canada & the USA, and will process orders via their website or by phone, if you prefer.

Years ago, if you registered your email and check items without buying, they will send you a discount coupon for 10% off.

I have no affiliation with the company, only a fan of their product.

PS; I don't like the change to their website and would be inclined to call them for confirmation about compatibility.

In the past, you could enter the year, make and model of your vehicle.

I believe this is the item I've used but will confirm on my PC later and update.

A quality seat belt extension makes daily use so much easier without sacrificing safety. I’ve also used SeatBeltExtenderPro products for years across multiple vehicles and the build quality has always been solid. They latch cleanly, don’t feel flimsy, and just work, especially when wearing bulky winter gear.
