Water Wetter ,Purple Ice or any other additive in their radiator to lower the temps a bit ? Are they safre for OEM Radiator fluid ? I know the HOAT and OAK radiator fluid is fussy :O
I still get bugged by the 200* temps lol , Will running a lower temp affect anything like the 180 thermostat ? Or is the change minor so no tune needed ?
Thanks,

Haven't used it in the truck, but I've use Water Wetter in my bikes, and even my old liquid cooled computer. Didn't hurt anything, but I'm also not sure it helped.

Those additives will not lower normal operating temps. They are surfactants. From the manufacturing process, there is always a thin layer of oil on the metal in the cooling system. Basically, they break down surface tension and allow the coolant to actually "touch" the radiator core metal and allow for more efficient heat-up and cool-down. I've used Water Wetter and Amsoil Dominator Coolant Boost. Currently using the latter in 3 vehicles. I've not had any issues with either product. What I notice most is getting up to temperature much faster in the winter and more stable temps while towing heavy in the heat of summer.
