Anyone using Alipne X009-RAM head unit?

With all the screwing around to get a usable signal, ive thought about buying the X009-RAM by Alpine. Promises to retain all factory functionality and then some. I love that it has a 9 band parametric eq and time alignment. Has anyone seen this unit in person?

At $2800ish, its not cheap at all, but could probably sell my 8.4AN and recoup some of that.

i personally havent seen one in person but i have read a lot about them. that is a pretty damn steep price but they are extremely nice units.

as far as my understanding the 8.4 screen is still not compatable yet. I assume shortly it will though. I remember reading the 5.0 and under is.

Yes, 8.4 screen is not available yet for upgrade.

You could goto another HU and use an iDataLink Maestro and save some cash.

i have seen it done and posted in one of the other threads pics of the custom made kit.

the only functionality that was noticed that was loss was the position of the where the heat/ac blows.

FYI dont expect to re-coup much if anything you can get the 8.4an from scrap yards starting about 3-400
