Needs to be a rambox truck to be useful.

And not just a bed extender, its a great partition too, and I use it more for that than anything else. Most of the time I have it set as a partition in the bed just deep enough to fit my collapsible black plastic crates long-wise. Great for Krogers and Costco trips and the like, as otherwise even w/ a rubber mat they can go flying. And easy to move just the right distance, like pulling it back a bit to keep 5 gallon gas cans from falling over. We did use it as an extender this past weekend when home depot had its 50% off mulch sale... and BTW 30 bags of 2cubic ft of pretty wet mulch seems to be the limit for the suspension, lol!

The Ram box adds to that functionality by also providing a place to throw stuff that you don't want flying around. I don't really want to walk all the way around the vehicle though, so for the passenger side rambox, while the driver side is unblocked the passenger side just permanently stays locked (mine only lock/unlock with the key) with misc. **** I don't use everyday like ratchet straps and a couple lawn chairs, umbrellas, duck tape, painters tape, and a moving blanket.
