Asking A little advice 8.4 uconnect

I found a friend has a 2012 dodge charger with 8.4 unit.
Can I put this unit in my 2017 Ram 1500 and what all would I need for parts to make this swap?

If your going to spend money on swapping in an 8.4 radio to your truck, go with a UAS or UAQ from an '18+ model year truck to get AndroidAuto/CarPlay ability.
The other option is go aftermarket.

The 2018 8.4's have had alot of delamination issues. Mine did and rendered the truck almost unusable. Changed radio stations and inputs constantly and randomly. During a blaring heat wave kept changing the AC to heat and messed with the temperature.

From what I've read 2019 and up are good to go. Not too sure of 2017 and below. 2018 stay away from.

The whole unit was replaced under my extended warranty. Haven't had any issues to this point.
