So I have the non alpine 6 speaker system and will hopefully be installing a system this weekend. I have 4 channel amp for the doors and a mono amp for subs. I purchased an Lc7 to hook up to my new 8.4 . So this is my plan. I'm going to let the radio power the tweeters and run the doors to the amp. I read to get the bass signal I need to tap into one of the rear speakers, is that correct? Also does anyone know off the top of their head which pin is the remote wire? Thanks in advanced.

When I hooked up my lc6 a couple years ago, I tapped everything behind the radio (all channels) to keep my fader and balance controls. If I can remember correctly I allowed the internal summing of the signals to create the “sub out” on the last set of channels.

All 4 channels get full range signal. The alpine system you need to tap rears, the non alpine you can tap any speaker to get subwoofer frequencies.

There you go. Easy enough. I would tap all the speakers to keep your fader/balance controls, then have the last set of outputs on the lc7 be the sub outs connected to the main (front) output and you’ll be good to go.

I assume you have components for up front? Midbass in doors with a seperate tweeter?
If that's the case, I would amp the front door speakers and tweeters and let the HU power the rear doors. The HU power will introduce distortion pretty quickly and tweeters with distortion is a negative experience and something to avoid if possible

To piggyback on autokraft, i would ditch the dash speakers, put your tweets there, 6.5 in the front, 6x9 rear and amp all that. If the tweets arent so good there, cut a hole in the sail panel and put there.

Oh i don't think there is a remote wire. But your lc6i should have signal sense turn on as long as your front left speaker is going to it.

Thanks for the input guys. I have the non alpine system so I'll tap everything from the back of the hu. I ran the dash speakers to the hu and will run the doors to the amp since I have a 4 channel and a mono for the subs.
