Oh take it easy on him streak, this is clearly a potato potahtto situation :)

Can you explain the symptom you are worried about? Might just be linkage or a sticky solenoid in the rear end.

WOW just looked and to my amazement JPT is correct, seems there was an AWD version where you cannot disengage the front wheels. Should have looked before I barked, sorry.

Never heard of it before therefore I know nothing about this system short of what I have read in the last 5minutes.

Lol, no harm meant, just informing.

To the OP, I've (to date) never seen an AWD Ram, that's not to say there's no such thing, but it's just not a standard option. The only AWD Chrysler vehicles that I know of are the Durango and the Grand Cherokee, but don't hold me to it.

Problem is I keep losing front prop shaft while towing camper in awd mode. Without front shaft and in awd and in park, I can push the truck. So I think something in t case is broke not locking the rear drive shaft in. Rear works in 4 high and low. Put reman front shaft in and lifted front off the ground to see if rear tires would push in awd mode. Back tires didn't move and front spun. Now I know this is bad for awd but had to see if rear would move on a load. Called dealer and they have no clue, but they can look at it.
