80AB75BD-64BB-439F-87A5-14B8FF9B8ED4.jpeg What can I do to get my b pillars like this?

Are mine the only ones wrinkled on a 1 year old truck?

They’ve been wrinkled since day 1 and it’s starting to bug me.

If I tell the dealer and they fix it will it just happen again since they’ll probably use the same vinyl?

I’ve thought about some covers in gloss black but who makes them and will they look bad since the metal isn’t recessed to accept them?

I feel like covers will create a “ledge” at the top and look bad on our trucks.

Wish they would’ve done our B pillars the way ford did on the f150 and I’d be happy :(

I just took em off. Looks better without them. Especially since the paint underneath is colored.

No go on body color pillars

The black pillars look better. Just not wrinkled it doesn’t look better.

And I’m happy with the ram overall for now lol

Try your wife's hairdryer. See if you can heat to work wrinkles out. I think heat gun may get too hot.

I think I wouldn’t have cared if they weren’t wrinkled. Probably never would’ve thought about my B pillars lol but now I do feel like gloss black would be better looking on a ram

And of course I did...did the back one too...guy had it coming...

And you missed that porthole slider? C'mon, that's an easy target for a sandlot player!

That’s great :)

Mine are wrinkled too I was going to do gloss but the previous owner put vent shades on so a simple project will be an adventure now. I’m living with it for the time being.

I wonder what that would cost. It would look better. In a world with cars being vinyl wrapped you would think they could wrap something that simple during production when the truck is in pieces though. I know both my trucks have wrinkles in the vinyl.

My Explorer has the same black pillars ( but painted) and after 20yrs it was faded real bad.
I spent a few hours sanding and taping and sprayed it myself with rattle cans, think it came out well.
If you dont want to use just cheap spray cans a paint dealer and mix up good quality paints in a can that you can spray easy.

Get a vinyl shop to wrap it in gloss black vs matte black.

I like the vinyl because that is where I push the drivers door shut from, so I don’t have to worry about lots of finger prints and smudges or even worse scratches

If the vinyl is bubbled, wrinkled or peeling and you are within warranty which i assume you are due to it being a 1 yesr old truck, they actually cover it inder warranty to be replaced. Had them replaced on my 13 and 15 under warranty and will probably have to get the 18 done sooner then later lol

Right I know that but what I was still questioning is if it will last this time?

How did yours hold up after having the dealer re-do them? Will they wrinkle up again?

JB1 - im liking the gloss look. Looks much better and doesn’t give you that “faded” look the matte vinyl seems to have

Mine were replaced under warranty and look perfect now. It's been about a year. I think they were probably installed ****** at the factory.
