Back up camera to 8.4 screen

I am trying to get my backup camera to appear on my 8.4 screen instead of rear view mirror. I have read the thread here and it says 31 32 33 in the radio harness. I have tried every configuration of the 3 wires and no image on screen has any successfully completed this. I have 2014 express no uconnect mirror.

you need it "turned" on by the dealer. they need to ad the XAC sales code to your truck. They usually charge an hour of shop time to do this.

you do not need to go to the dealer to have it activated. my truck came with the rear view mirror backup cam display as well. i have since installed the 8.4 and have gotten the camera into the 8.4. the pin out is, position 31 (GR/OR), 32 (GR/BR) and 33 (BARE)

if that leaves you without a picture on the screen, swap 31 and 32.

Reference Mpgrimm2 post # 5 , CuylerTech / the Harness Connection has a simple fix for this in a pre made harness . His harness splices into the lower portion of your existing truck harness going to your mirror ( conector located behind your passenger air vent) then rout it to the radio C-1 ( main disconnect ) 31, 32 ,33.

if it was already active on the 8.4 you swaped in that would make a difference.

OP when you go into reverse does the 8.4 go to a blue screen?

pretty sure it gets activated in the control modules of the vehicle and not in the radio....the radio i swapped in only shows the options my truck has and not the options that the original truck had...
