Backset Backrest Modification - '22 Big Horn Crew

Has anyone performed the mod that allows the backrest to fold forward on the backseat? This involves cutting part of the hooking mechanism so it releases when the bottom of the seat is lifted to access under seat storage.

If you have performed this mod, was there enough room back there to make this worth the effort?

Might be worth it just to get access to the sub. It's against he wall back there, not on the floor.

Yes, I think I'm going to do this. I want to be able to store things where its not intuitive.
