Bad gas

Anyone else get misfire code on number 7 when ever get gas from certain places? Then got gas from Exxon and my check engine light went away

Mine did that but no codes my wife filled my truck with mid grade and it ran like crap wouldnt shift or nothing put premium in it never had that problem since

A stock HEMI should run fine on any grade of TOP TIER gas 87 octane or higher but especially with 89. No 5.7 HEMI out there should need premium to run right unless its tuned for it. A stock 5.7 doesn't even have the octane tables in the PCM to take advantage of it. You got other problems if that's the case.

what's the mileage? have you tried an injector cleaning of any kind? i would try some seafoam in the fuel tank. its not going to hurt and may help.

It’s at 112 thousand. I haven’t tried the sea foam yet. I’ll give it a shot. Thanks

good to hear. i had an older motorbike and it would run a bit rough i think just from age and use. i'd throw a few ounces of seafoam in the tank once a month and seemed to help keep things clean.

Good to hear ! That Sea Foam is good stuff, Used it in my oil before a change and gas treatment for winter storage on my motorcycles !!

No codes on mine. 112-114k 5.7 2500hd miles roughly. Run 87 chevron or shell. If I use anything else it runs but I can tell a diff. No codes. She likes chevron the most no diff in feel or not if I run mid grade
