Bad luck month... Need new tires now

So I just happened to find a huge gouge in my tire that goes all the way to the steel belt, it's not leaking. And this is the last thing I wanted to deal with...

This month, my cat ran away, broke my phone screen so paid best buy deductible and got a new one, then that one broke, so got a nother new one(150 a pop) got in a car accident, dog got diagnosed with DCM, timing belt is bad on my vw and now this....

So it's just the one tire, but the terra grappler wore terrible, and have terrible traction in snow... so going to either have big o buy back my tires or sell them on Craigslist or the forums...

What tires should I get? A buddy of mine can get duratacs for 785 installed but it takes 5-10 days, and I don't have a spare car, both of them are non drivable... so just going to bite the bullet and buy new shoes trying to stay under 1100 installed... my brother is telling me to do bg Goodrich at ko and get the highest load range so there harder and last longer, idk if that's true or not but what do yall think???

That would suck..

Im going with B, i have a 0% card that ends in feburary, i know its bad but i have previous balance on it from mods so im going to transfer it to another 0% card in feb for 15 more months... I have the money but my job is up for review in march and may loose it so i rather have liquid money that i can continue to pay truck and what not until i either get extended or find a new job.
just going to bite the bullet and get new tires tomorrow.

OR, do I just replace the two front tires with new tires, and keep my rears, all my tires are at roughly 50% tread life... I feel wasteful, but then again I'm buying $500 worth of front tires might aswell buy all new better tires...? idk...

I drive in 2wd most of the time, but when I go to the mountains I use 4wd, and I heard uneven tires can hurt the xfer case, if using 4wd with uneven tires... any truth to that?

it's only different size tires that affect the xfer case not worn. you should be good I'd do two now and two later. no need to dig a bigger hole bro. hope your luck gets better.

Getting a new set of duratracs... Going to try and get AAA to cover them but sounds like they wont beable too.

They said if they determine it wasnt vandalism, which never said it was, and they detirmine the damage happened on the road, it would be concitered collision, and will have to pay that deductible, and rates will go up and it wont be worth it. ALSO they dont know if they can cover all 4 tires... its like why do i have insurence if you guys cant help me...

I hope i like them, the last thing i need though is more repairs and stupid **** happening, i still had 20-40k miles left in the nitto's, i hope i can recoup some money from selling them.

Just a couple weeks ago I got a new set of the original Toyo AT tires in a 305/50/20 for a lil more than 800$ because there discontinued for the new side wall design. Don't know if that helps in ur area. Never hurts to ask about discontinued tires. Worked for me
