So I installed a few new Banks Parts (Pedal Monster (love this!), Monster RAM, Boost Tubes, and Cold Air Intake). Install went well, followed all the Banks documentation and I have a question. First, I gotta say I knew going in that there would be increased engine noises as a result of the boost tubes install (basically 2 3/4 to 3 1/2”) other than an increase in the turbo air rush noise I have a rather loud high pitched “howl” that shows up under heavy load/boost then quiets down when RPMs catch up. I don’t get any codes thrown and there isn’t any loss in power before, during, or after it makes this noise. What could this “Howl” be caused by? Normal? Sorry so long winded but Somme history was in order here, Thank you everyone!

Sounds like turbo whine to me. I believe that is quite normal with these modifications.

double check for a boost leak. maybe pipe not 100% seated, clamp not quite tight et cetra
stock emissions parts?
i will say if you have a race pipe, monster ram, unlocked pcm et cetra they will make significantly more noise than than a regular diesel.
i cant say ive ever driven a Cummins with stock emissions and a monster ram intake horn haha
