Bought a 21 Ram bighorn last week, 8.4 radio, 6 speaker. Bought the cheapest wireless android auto adapter I could find. Came in mail from Amazon, took awhile to figure out how to setup everything to connect, but this adapter is like a android stick, puts carplay logo on screen and everything works on radio touch screen. Paid $19. So I got it working, has totally separate operation vs android auto, like a TV stick as example. I seen a DSP icon so messed with bass etc, put youtube video on and sounded excellent, lots of low bass, mids, highs etc. At 20 volume was louder than the radio on 32 without it, now hoping this device I can get to connect everytime easily, with dsp on sounds as good, maybe better than the alpine system in my 13 Ram. I was afraid to turn volume past 28, speakers were pounding. If I can get this sound quality all the time, I would be very happy with the base audio. Anyone know of a good quality wireless android auto plug in device that has a dsp?

Not sure if any Android Auto wireless dongle has DSP, I know AA and AA2 don't , not sure about the 3rd generation coming out later this year. That is generally software baked into a head unit. Perhaps that cheap unit you bought just happened to have limited bandwidth and it compressed enough data to smooth out the sound and restricted distortion, which would make the music sound better.

Okay, I did a search trying to figure out if these things actually work. Came across this post. I don't care much about the sound quality. Just looking for a unit that works without too much hassle.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!
