Battery died now having key fob issues

2014 ram 1500, truck battery died due to being old now the key fob is giving me issues, I have to be right next to the door for it to lock or unlock and the remote start will not work since the new battery was installed. Is this common? And how can I fix it? And since the the tailgate will not open like it is not unlocking. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it the Kind of FOB that you insert into the Ignition ?
or the Push Button Ignition ?

I have not had that issue, but

try Starting the vehicle without doing it remotely, do it 2 or 3 times

Then try it remotely

Replace the battery in your fob.
