In order to reset the radio in a 3500, both batteries need to be disconnected, right?

Yeah, I pulled the 30 amp for radio/amp, but apparently not long enough...if that's supposed to work

Try holding the volume and tuning knob for 10-20 seconds for a basic Uconnect radio reset.

Thanks RD, especially for the interactive TIPM link.

I have replaced the OEM with an Android radio. Everything was great for about a year until I had to replace the batteries. Then no sound on any app or channel. Not sure if this will reset the Alpine sound or not, but I cannot find any obvious cause.

You're most welcome.

These Uconnect radios often intermittently misbehave, and while I prefer to fix deficiencies, sometimes replacement is the better choice.

The Uconnect 8.4C radio in my truck has a few tolerable quirks, but I see the future replacement as an inevitable and final solution.

I believe my extended warranty still covers the radio, and I thought I might try my luck with that route before spending money.

I reread your post and may have misunderstood.

If I understand correctly, you replaced the Uconnect radio with an Android radio a year ago, and it worked properly until you recently replaced both starting batteries.

Now you have no sound from any of the radio functions?

Is there any possibility that a connection to the speakers has been disconnected?

If we go much further, prolly need to move this to audio subforum. I pulled the 60 amp before coming in the house, we'll see what it does tomorrow.

Whelp, pulled the IOD fuse and left it out overnight, now no radio, no unlock/lock, no interior lights, no remote start, and a NO FUSE message on the EVIC. Truck runs and drives and all lights work...
