i havent driven my truck for about a week and a half and when i started it the other day it cranked real slow but started, all the dash lights were on and it said "No Bus" on the display, when i tried to drive it would buck and wouldnt go over 10 mph. I put it on the battery charger on it all night and it seems fine now. How long do these oem batteries last? Mine is a '16.

Unfortunately this is hard to say. Batteries are finicky items. I have seen them last from a few days to many years. They are heavily affected by the elements and even though they should last several years, this is not always the case.
I would have it tested at the dealership and make sure you don't have any other issues than a failing battery.

Last time I went to my usual non-dealer repair they told me my 6 year old OEM battery was starting to go.
Saturday I had the dealer oil change. They told me battery was G2G.

As stated above, temperature and how you run down your battery can play a role in how long it lasts. If you use a lot of battery with the engine off that deep cycling can age it ahead of its time. Same thing it you remove the heat shield and expose it to engine compartment heat during long summer drives.

I have a battery jumper/compressor/work-light combo at home just in case--cheap insurance. I will probably change this 6-yr old battery before winter for an Interstate from Costco just the same.

The biggest killer of today's batteries is not receiving voltage on a regular basis whether it be from an alternator, charger, battery tender/trickle charger. I left my 2012 at the airport for a week and it struggled to start my hemi...it's insane. If any vehicle/ battery is going to sit for a period of time, a battery tender is simply a must these days. A daily driver has the best chance to keep a battery alive for a handful of years cause the alternator will essentially top off the charge. Once a battery goes completely dead, charging it could help, but the clock has officially started ticking

Luckily the battery didnt go completely dead and it started up, but im going to keep an eye on it and drive the truck a bit more and maybe get a battery tender just for good measure.
