I have a 2017 RAM 1500 5.7L with 152,000 miles. It's been well serviced. I drove to the store, came out 30 minutes later and had trouble starting it. When it did start there were several anomalies with gauges and lights. I shut it down and waited a bit and got it started with no issues. A couple weeks later I was driving about 35 mph and hit a pothole. It immediately went into this mode again and stuck in 1st gear. I pulled over and shut it off. For the next 10 minutes or so the windshield wipers were going, dash lights flashing gauges going crazy and many dash messages such as no BUS, and many more. I will post a video of it if I can. I'd appreciate any feedback if anyone knows what the problem is. Its in the second mechanics shop and they can't figure it out. https://youtube.com/shorts/1VymL9g7-a8?feature=shared

i'll give the standard answer: check battery. must be over 12.5 volts
I second this. Low voltage will trigger these symptoms. Every time I killed a battery the wipers would turn on uncommanded

So, you have been a member of this Forum for 7 years, but apparently don't know how to use the search function or how to properly describe the steps you have gone through with the issue at hand. Did not mention new battery, did not say if you have test new battery, did not say what the two shops checked and ruled out, etc. etc. Best of luck going forward.

There are 2 wires that join at the positive battery terminal cable. They seemed to not be as secured as they should have been. I was told they go to computer modules which would make sense. Removed them cleaned up everything and put back together. I hope that takes care of the issue.

Did you load test the battery?
New batteries still require load testing if the fault points to a B+ issue.
Our trucks are rolling microcomputers and require a stable and capable battery.

And please post pictures of these wires you have cleaned up.
Most of the B+ connections directly on the battery are for high-current items.
Most, if not all, of the modules will be connected through the TIPM.

Check grounds and look for corrosion on the wires going into each of them. There is a bunch of grounds 1 questionable ground can have you chasing your tail on intermittent stuff.
