Hey everyone, on my last truck I had Line-X premium and was quite happy with it, I am probably going back to a similar product but I was curious about the Pendaliner bet mats / liner and the like that are more drop in. Any feedback? In Canada, the drop in bed mats or liners are around $220-$300 and bed liners like Line-X are around $450 for the basic and $580 for the premium, so is it worth the savings?

Not worth the savings, IMHO. The drop ins warp, shrink and raise havoc with the bed paint. Initially had one in the bed of my 2007 MegaCan and it didn't take long to mess it up. I put a spray in on it, then did the last two trucks the same way. I'll never go back to those damn things.

I'd recommend a spray in as you have done in the past.

Rust makers. Don’t do it. Best is a spray in bed liner and then a rubber mat maybe even a bed rug if that is your thing.

I put a dual liner in mine. So far, i am very happy with it. It consists of a thick rubber bed mat that mates up with plastic side and front pieces.

I had a plastic drop in that I destroyed hauling old cemented fence posts. When we pulled the liner out, the paint on the bed was rubbed away in spots, there were leaves and crap trapped under, and it was damp. I can see how that could get rusty quick. I had Line-X sprayed a few months ago and it's so much nicer.

As you get older and your knees begin to hurt more and more from crawling around in the back of your truck you will find a new appreciation for a orthopedic bed rug.

I'm still agonizing over this very question. Thinking of doing spray on bedliner and then tossing in a bedrug. We need to have a nice comfy surface for the dogs.

I do like the Berliner, but a rubber mat would work also.

What about the home kit that you roll on? Any one tried it and had a problem with it? My last truck came with a sprayed in bedliner and I loved just being able to throw stuff in and not worrying about it.

My new one doesn't have one yet and I don't think I will be able to spend the money to have a spray in done any time soon, so was thinking about doing the roll on. Thoughts?

I've done 2 trucks with Herculiner and have been happy with the results. Plan on doing my current truck once it gets nice out.

From what I have read the DYI liner are fair to good! Not as thick as the spray in Linex or Rhino lining , The biggest key like in painting is the prep work! Light sanding is better the paint de glossing ! Not first hand info just what I have read,, Hope it helps ! ALSO look on You Tube bet there are videos on the DIY spray in liner :)
