I'm new to the truck scene. I have been looking for a bed liner. Who sells the drop in plastic types? I have been searching the internet and can't seem to find many options. Any suggestions??? Looking to keep the price under $300.

Did you look for local craigs list or ebay? I dont know all of the pricing these days but I know a few manufactures still make them. Duraliner and such.

Also find a Line -x or Rhino line shop and ask if they have any from swaps.

I got the ram one as per part of my deal. It is nice and a of course a great fit.

I wouldn't advise the hard plastic drop ins... they are junk, unless you have some sort of bed cover already.

They like to leak and let water sit in between them and the bed... creating rust

I have found a few drop ins. Not that much of a savings. I might just go with a spray in.

The drop ins should be hundreds cheaper than a spray in. I went with a Rugged Liner bedliner. It has a very nice texture to it, things dont really slide around, and you wont slip and fall if its wet.

I wouldn't say drop ins are junk, not even a little bit, yes drop ins trap water under them, but if they are installed right they wont shift around as much and chances are it wont rust your bed out as quick as you think. Chances are you will pay the truck off before any damage will happen if any at all. It all depends how good the install is and what you use your truck for. and in 10 years when it does start to rub your paint raw then rip it out and spend money on a spray in..

For me, I just use it as a typical homeowner would. If you move a lot of brick or concrete then its worth the 600-800 bucks for a spray in Line-X, but for 150-200 bucks for a good drop in by a good installer is worth it..

if you want pics let me know..

There is nothing wrong with a drop in. I have had them in both of my last two trucks and have not had any problems. The dealer tried to charge me 500 for the one in there bow but ended up getting it for free so I am very happy with it. I know the places mentioned earlier are a great way to get one if your deal falls through. Places that do spray in liners tend to have them stacking up for a while so check those out.

If you want to damage your truck get a drop in liner. If you want to permanently damage your truck get a spray liner. You could even use one before the other and really do a number on your truck. Or you could get the benefits of either liner plus additional features without destroying the bed for less cost than a spray/drop in with a BedRug. I wasn't a believer until I saw it in action.
There is a host of videos demonstrating the effectiveness of this product.

Here is why you don't use a drop in liner...

This has been in my truck since new:

This is what it looked like when I removed it:

Anyone need one? lol

Looks much better now. I have less than $200 invested in it using UPol Raptor Liner
