I think this is a cool tool, however am curious- one the ad says 2 inch clearance and shows 2 sheet of plywood - does that mean the box is wider than the wheel well? That is only Capable of 2- 3/4" sheets. Second said it is easliy removed, is that the case. This would be a great addition but dont want to cut off carrying more than 2 sheets.

My wife bought me mine for Christmas. She paid like $360 I think from AutoAnything or close to that. For two. They are easily removable. I cleaned mine with the prep spray and then sprayed them with bed liner to more closely match my spray-in bed liner in my truck. They are pretty shiny when new. Looks better having them flat black. I have a toolbox in the bed also, so I have tons of storage with these. They are also lockable at the rear so no one can take them out. And you can adjust where u mount them height wise that way u can have more clearance under them if needed.

to remove its just swing out and lift. Real easy. I don't haul much and I do help deliver for my job which is mostly boxes and haven't had and issues

Yeah, but I am looking at getting some, and was doing some research.

I am still not sure even 2 of them wil hold what I need to put in them...specifically, 1 gal oil jugs for my boat.

I think these things are too cool, but "cheap" mod?

Maybe I am just too cheap but $200 bucks for a single side seems a bit steep to me.

I have seen the "pockets" that divide that same section of your bed into a pocket that you can store stuff in, no lock or weather protection obviously, but my use would mainly for when I wanna throw things in the bed and not have them roll around... Plus they don't stick out further than the wheelwells so no issues with loading. Anyone have a pic of these?
