I recently put a bedrug in the back of my 13 Ram. I am having a hard time determining where on the top of the tailgate the rug is suppose to end. It seems to fall half on the tailgate cap and half off. This as you can imagine didn't work and is now coming off, so I have to get new velcro. Just below the tailgate cap does not really have a flat metal surface. I will also add that it was pretty cold when I put it on, but I am not sure thats it. Its more of a getting the tape completely on a flat surface. Where did you end your rug? Will bedrug send me more velcro? Thanks for your help guys!

Mine stays down on the metal, not on the plastic cap.

Yes, if you cleaned the metal prior to installing the Velcro it sticks very well. I had a BedRug on my last truck too and the tape held very well.

All of mine stuck great. EXCEPT at then top. The metal directly below the tailgate cap is a dip and not flat, this still worked for you?

I actually haven't tried pulling the Velcro apart at the tailgate to test if any of the tape separates from the metal surface, but at the same time I don't see any gaps or sagging. For the five years I had a BedRug on my last truck, I never had reason to remove it. The one I have on this truck has been on for less then a year and I see no reason to take it off. I just sweep and vacuum it when needed and for deep cleaning I go to the carwash bay and use the high pressure wand. I've found BedRug to be basically indestructible.

Well I called bedrug and they sent more velcro no questions asked. Yeah I probably won't have any reason to remove it either so as long as I can secure it I don't really care about removal. I'm sure I could get more velcro if needed if need be. Happy with my first service encounter!
