So I just bought a Ram 1500 about 2 weeks ago and I'm loving it. The list of upgrades I want is endless but since it didn't come with a bedliner, that will be my first big one. I wanted some input on Rhino vs. LineX. Both have good reputations so let the debate begin!

thanks for your info! :favorites13:

I had Line-X sprayed into mine and love it! I've put it through some abuse and have yet to go through the material. Very rigid, but also very grippy for hauling the motorcycles around. I'm sold on Line-X after having it done to mine.

I've had both and prefer the LineX. I had the Rhino in a 2009 F150 and it scratched through when I slid in a metal dog kennel.

No complaints about the LineX here. Looks good and lots of grip. I haven't put it to much hard use yet tho.

to me either would be a great option, I can't imagine not having the bed sprayed.

Rhino liners are junk. They are priced equal to a LineX and they just don't last.
Not to say there aren't good alternatives, just don't get a Rhino liner.

We have a local place called "Smith's Ultimate Lining" that's tried n true.
Don't be afraid to find and support a non name brand shop, just ask around.

I had a Rhino in my Ford F-150. It didn't take long for it to fade nor was it difficult to gouge. I went with a Line-X on my new Ram and included the "premium" finish that is supposed to not fade (at least not very much). I've yet to really test out its durability, but it looks fantastic!

Whats the average cost if linex outhere? My local shop wants 420 for a standard job. But the local off brand is around 375. Im looking at a cover so fading isnt too big of an issue.

I'm pretty sure I paid $450 at the dealer when I bought the truck, so $420 sounds like a decent deal.

Dealer unstalled linex? Mine sends em out to the off brand. Im hoping to pay a lil less for the off brand using my salesmans employee discount. Tge off brand is pretty thick, my job uses them on our work trucks

Unless you dealer happens to also be a Line-X franchise, I believe that he meant that he obtained the Line-X through the dealership by them sending it out. That's how mine did it, and he got a better deal for me than me going directly to Line-X.

yeah 420 seems like a good deal from the pricing i've seen for them. I've seen lineX for as much as 475.

We did the same.

The day we were picking up our truck, my wife mentioned to our salesman that we were going to tint the front side windows and get a bedliner.
He offered to get us a deal through the Line-X dealer down the street.

$364.00 for the tint and bedliner.

We liked the Line-X so much, when we added the toolbox, we had that Line-X'd inside and out as well.

OP, definitely worth a call to the guy you bought your truck from to ask.

Line-x is tough stuff. Depends on what you plan to use the bed for too. Line x can scratch softer stuff like finished wood. Rhino is softer and more rubber like.
My rhino through he dealer was 380$. Line-x is over 500 by me
