What sucks about it and I think it would be pretty hard on my round step bars. If I had flat ones it probably wouldn't be as hard

I think you'd be able to paint them with a non-spray okay. If you take the caps off the ends it will make it easier to hang and turn and rehang before completely drying. Should be easier to get even coats that way.

I'm gonna have to lay them down and I have it planned out it will take me about 4 days to finish, which isn't much compared to how long I've had them off until I could finally sand them which luckily was today! I just applied the first coat of primer onto the top of the bars, gonna wait 10 minutes then add another and then 30 minutes for the third coat then wait until tomorrow to flip them over then on Monday I will start on the top again using the Bedliner of some sort, not sure which kind yet

Davy I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this stuff sucking I'm not sure how it compares to Herculiner as I've never used it but I just did my first coat on the bottom of my step bars and it comes out so easily and smooth and hardens pretty quickly and moderately grippy! I would recommend it over both dupli color bed armor and their "truck bed coating"
