Decided to pick these up, and glad I did. Got them from the Retrofit Source directly for $100. Direct fit replacement for your fog bulbs. This will give you an idea of the difference they make, and how well they light up.

Some before and after. The truck on the right is a 2014 also with factory bulbs. The pictures on the road are with the fogs on and off, just to show how much difference it makes having them on.

More with fogs on and off. They really make a difference, especially over stock.

Not 100% sure, but I'd say 99% sure haha. They definitely have the blue tint, but they put out a very good quality light. 2 year warranty also. Can't wait to get my HID's in next.

Another thing, my truck is lifted 2.8" in the front and I did not change the angle of the lights after the lift, only the low beams. My dad put the same bulbs in his 2014 with stock ride height, and we adjusted his lights up and they work a lot better that way. I'd recommend the same, proper adjustment is important.

im getting flashed once in a while for having 6k HID's in stock projectors and my fogs on.

but the color of the fogs looks retarded with the HID's so im considering these

I haven't been flashed yet, it's all about adjustment. My dad got flashed with his bc his were adjusted too high.

I would definitely recommend getting matching low beams at least haha, mine looks funky, and you really realize how terrible the factory bulbs are once you upgrade.

I put the 9005 version in the fogs on my '12. they made just as big of an improvement on my truck as they did on yours. well worth the $$

Now what is a heat sync? Sorry I'm new to this kind of stuff

The heat sink is the very rear portion off the light assembly. It looks like a vent and dissipates heat from the LED keeping it cool. Some of the lights don't have heat sinks. They have fans that come on with the light, however some have issues with the fan not functioning and therefor the light burns out do to heat.
Hope that explains it.
