Hi,

I have a 1500 DT (MY22) and the chassis has cracked near the bump stops, so the bed now slpoes down at the rear. Is being fixed with a new chassis.
Have been towing a trailer but well withing specified weights (ie <6,100lbs and 600lbs on the hitch).
Anyone else experiencing a similar failure?

Feedback appreciated...

That is disappointing, to say the least.

The comments in the thread GTyankee posted, on how the old leaf springs were better at load distribution on the chassis versus the point loading with coils and air bags is a real good point and obviously a factor. But at least GM has had coil springs for decades and I guess RAM has had them for 15 years in the rear on the 1500. I would think their chassis engineers would have figured this out by now. But I guess not.
