Never had a shock get bent, especially on a street truck.Have front coil springs and the front shock after going across a rough asphalted area just bent the shock.

It may very well of been a shock failure and not a pot hole fault. The small orifice for oil return could of been plugged or dammed up, hydraulic action of the shock would easily bend the shock ram with the force of the truck returning to ride height.

I was thinking maybe a seized shock or something but it didnt leak. Used this brand of shocks for decades and never had an issue with them on my two wheel drive trucks, and a couple of Vans also. Hope I'll be able to weasel that busted shock out of there
