Brand new owner of a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie. So far I love the truck :)

I am looking at getting an exhaust and side steps (as mine didn't come with side steps). What brands would you recommend?

Also what is the average cost of a Line-X spray and are there any other good "mods" to consider?

Thanks :)

Congrats on your 2019 RAM! For the exhaust for the 2019 our biggest seller is the Borla S. For steps its the AMP retractable. I also highly recommend the Pedal Commander. Also the Pulsar is another item to check out. Message me for a quote or for more info. We offer just about everything and also offer discounts for the members here!

I'm using the Steelcraft STX400s on my truck. I really like them and they were pretty inexpensive and easy to put on. Took me longer to clean the paint off the mounting studs on the truck than it did to put the steps on.

I love the ProTrax 5” I installed. Not Wherl to Wheel, but I like the 45° bends towards the cab in the front and rear. Easy to install once the bolts are clean.

I love my Westin HDX Xtreme nerf bars. I think the hard angles on the nerf bars match pretty well the hard lines on the truck. As far as exhaust goes, when the tax refund comes in ill probably pick up a Borla S-Type

Does anyone know what brand the factory powered running boards are?
Please don't say "Mopar"; but if you do say "Mopar" then who (sub-contractor) sourced it?

My understanding is that the Ram Box, the spray-on bed-liner, the powered boards, etc are all sent out to be done, by subcontractor(s), a little bit down the road from the factory. Not the factory-proper.

The reason I ask if we can identify the origins of the powered factory running boards is I didn't get them from the factory and now I want them. BUT... to maximize compatibility and minimize the law of unintended consequences (and "Murphy"), and not have some installer do extraneous drilling of my frame, I was hoping to get "factory" powered boards as an "aftermarket" addition. Because the factory pwoered running boards are known good - third party would be unknown territory.

I've got the Westin HDX Drop Steps on my 4th Gen and love them. They look awesome, get tons of compliments and are very functional.

I've had them now into my 4th Canadian winter with all the salt that comes with it and no issues with rust. I get them sprayed when I get my truck rust done with the Corrosion Free Rustproofing.

Here is a pic of them on a 5th Gen Ram.

I had the same drop steps on my 2016, and I just got them for my 19. Great steps that get a lot of compliments, and they work great for knocking off the snow before entering the truck!

Question: where did you get those fender flares?

The flares are Bushwacker Pocket Flares that were pre-painted by Bushwacker.

They should have the flares available by now for the 5th Gens.

I've bookmarked another brand that I might look at once I move to a 5th Gen. They are made by Air Design USA and come with a built mud flap. They'e kinda cool looking. I saw them on a lifted 5th Gen in my area. They come flat black so you'd have to paint match them if you want them painted.

I just got a new 1500, the factory chrome steps are very good, fit, finish and protect.
