BEST HEAVEY DUTY BATTERIES, 3500, 6.7 D, DUALLY

I HAVE TO REPLACE MY BATTERIES ON A 2018, 3500, 6.7 DIESEL DUALLY LONGBED. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS.

I would go with a set of Interstate batteries. I have them in all my vehicles and have little to no trouble out of them until they are dead dead. And when I say dead dead I mean when they are bad they just stop working and it is time to get a new set.

Go buy the right size at Costco. Their batteries score very high in all the tests and you just can't beat the warranty on them. Every replacement battery I now have is from there. Unlike many, I don't just return them every couple of years for a new one becasue I think that is abusing the system. I have some that are going on 10 years in service and still test perfectly fine. (I do keep them charged if they sit over winter.)

My suggestion is get the larger H8 battery vs the H7. I think the H8 is in the eco diesel.

I typically try to buy name brand batteries but others are just as good.

I keep my batteries on a trickle charger if out of service more than 3 weeks.

I wish there was 1 major brand that was better than any other. If there is I have not found it.

Interstate H8 AGM battery! Worth the bit extra to get into an AGM battery over stock lead acid types.

I just replaced mine in my 19'. With the help of this Forum and it's excellent knowledgebase I upgraded my stock H7 to an H8, and went with an Interstate AGM.

Remove the battery and on the battery tray there is a little tab you can use a flathead screwdriver on to pop the tab out. Then the try fits the H8 size.

It was an immediate improvement in cold starting (stock lead acid H7 is about 730CCA / Interstate H8 AGM is 900CCA), and also a big help with my electrical system as I have an aftermarket audio system in my truck.

One of the largest capacity H8 AGM batteries is the Odyssey 49-950. Highly rated battery and it's made in Missouri. I have one in my EcoDiesel (only use one unlike the CTD)

And here I was thinking my H8 Interstate AGM at 900CCA was a beast.

Just bought the same battery. Right at $200 after taxes and core. Interesting, made in Germany.
