About to pull trigger on alpharex housings. So now debating on HIDs to put in them. See a lot of love for Innovited and DDM. I also have alfaobd so don't have to waste money on a canbus kit. So that leads me to my question. What's the best 35w kit to go in them? I don't see enough reason to buy the $150-300 kits from GTR/headlight revolution/morimoto/etc only because I don't see the benefits (change my mind?). A lot of threads on here from searching are from 2018i-sh and I know tech changes so wanted to see what is current recommendation.

Not sure what's currently good but I got headlight experts kit and I'm on my third ballast in a year and not sure when or if I'll get another one. Really seems like junk

I installed the Innovited kit last Saturday. So far so good. I do have to pull the driver's side back out and adjust the vent caps due to condensation.

I think a better question is who has had their hid kit for more than a year problem free?

DDM Plus 35-watt 5000k kit in my 18 Ram for 1-1/2 years and in my previous Ford for 5-years with no trouble so far. (Hope I did not jinx myself)

I've had mine for going on 15 months now without hiccup but I specced the kit out myself.

I used Morimoto XB ballasts, ignitors and 4300k bulbs. I used alfaobd to make the necessary changes.

I adjusted the aim after this photo just a touch

More than a year and from an area where things rust. I believe HIDs hold up much better in certain climates, though I'm only basing this on how short things last here in the rust belt (particularly ballasts for HIDs) and from seeing people have better luck in other areas of the country. Would be curious to see how many people have long term reliability with their ballasts/setups in the rust belt, and which kits they were using.

DDm tuning here for over two years. Zero issues. $89 plug and play on amazon unlike Morimoto that are known for bad ballasts, and are not plug and play.
