anyone really satisfied with service and pricing from a store online on rims/tires?

Not happy?

Pics?!

If it helps I’m going for bigger wheels and lower profile tires for the dry months

If you have a discount tire near you they will price match anyone.

I just got my rims from customoffsets.com and the ones advertised (in the pictures) didn't have the fake beadlocks (which was good because I wanted nice clean rims) but they sent ones that had them. I complained and they gave me the run around and finally offered me the option of returning them and waiting a month for backorder or taking a whopping $75 back. I didn't have time to wait so I just took the $75 and won't do business with them again.

Initially ordered rims from RealTruck.com and after waiting about 10 days, I pinged them for some shipping info and they said that the wheels were no longer being manufactured. Not sure when they were going to actually tell me that. They offered alternatives, but they were all priced higher than i could find them elsewhere.

Got my tires (Mickey Thompson 35x12.5/20) from Jegs.com and they were about $100/ea cheaper than anywhere else. Shipping was free and fast and customer service was good. I'll use them again for sure.

My two cents....

I just got new rims and tires from custom offsets along with new TPMS sensors.

I received the rims and tires quickly along with the TPMS sensors installed.

They worked with me on multiple items including allowing me to pick them up at the FedEx Depot for quicker delivery.

They also included free lug nuts with locks.

pricing was cheaper than I could buy them at any discount tire store and I received them in the same amount of time that I would have had to wait if I had went to a store and ordered them.

I did have multiple issues with the TPMS sensors and the truck recognizing them, which turned on a nanny light that took several days to resolve.

when contacting custom offsets for help or assistance regarding the TPMS issue, communication was quite difficult varied and slow to be received. I did receive a detailed email about what I should do after I had figured the issue out myself and resolved it

From a rating standpoint I will give them 10 out of 10 on pricing 10 out of 10 on shipping and protecting your wheels in transit I would give them a 7 out of 10 on taking the order as they did call me twice to see how I wanted the tires mounted after I told them initially.

I got multiple emails from their warehouse about add on extras like ceramic coating and various different options that I did not want which I had to respond to in order to not delay shipping I found this upsell tactic distasteful so from that standpoint I would give them a 0 out of 10.

Their handling of the TPMS issue was challenging and their customer service after the sale was quite poor so zero on a scale of 1 to 10.

Overall, if I look at the experience I would probably rate it a 5 out of 10. It was much more of a hassle that I thought it would be and saving the money over having an on-site store do the install and deal with the issues of TPMS sensors making certain there right and not having to worry about cutting Nanny lights on and off would probably been easier.

last to solve my nanny light issue I did end up having to buy alpha OBD as well as an OBD MX connector which added a hundred bucks to my overall purchase price, therefore my savings which was substantial at $600 it's now down to 500.

^^this

Search online and find the best price, then go to your local DT and see if they’ll price match.

Worse case, purchase your wheels online with free shipping and no tax, then take them with you to DT and buy your tires from DT that way you have tire warranty and free rotation/balance.

Thanks guys. There aren’t discount tires in Canada (at least near me) so the maintenance won’t be done there.

I will however likely be driving across the border to grab the rims in Seattle area from a family member. I find the shipping is usually free for lower 48 so the savings there will pay for my ferry rides and visit.

Yeah there is that. But if you're going to Seattle there is some near there. If I were you I would find the stuff you want and order it over the phone. They could have them mounted and balanced before you get there. I've used them the last 5 years and great service and price match anyone.
