Best way to clean chrome clad wheels

They look ok once you paint them. I heard that windex works well on them, but I'm sure soap and water will do just fine.

imho if they were an actual aluminium chrome or pvd rim they would be great

If you hate them that much, pull off the chrome covers, there are the same set of wheels in aluminum alloy under them, just remove the glue. youtube has videos on guys doing it. You can also buy replacement covers in powder coat black to change the look, these are top quality metal chrome over a tuff abs plastic so it could rust if subjected to a corrosive or damage. I clean with mequires car wash soap then use a foam filled drying micro fiber towel to wipe dry and they come out like new.

then that rust color could be baked on brake dust.

soap and water , windex if needed if still there get the to the bicycle shop and buy you some White Lighting Clean streak it is plastic safe and a metal prep also good for removing tape residues on anything
