Billet Tech Catch Can...paintable?

So I have the original "Satin" Billet Tech Catch can. While it's purdy, I would really prefer it to be black. Any issues pulling it, scuffing the surface and just painting it? BT tech refers to it as "Raw Aluminum".

Maybe U&A will chime in, he made the sign in my avatar. I think he said us an etching primer, but don't know for sure. If he dont chime in PM him.

I had one powder coated. Still looks good. The powder coating however fills in any etching.
