A classic case of not reading into what you buy... I purchased this billit grille on ebay for its price assuming it was an entire grille replacement and it was just 4 billit pieces that lay over the stock honeycomb... Have any of you made the same mistake and do you like the look of them?

link doesnt work...maybe it's just my computer...but i had those overlay billet grille inserts before replacing my entire grille..they look decent from far but a little closer you could see the underlying honeycomb and how the edges of the inserts kinda sit over the grill shell itself...the classic inserts that sit in place of the honeycomb look a lot cleaner IMO...i had an ugly faded black grille shell on my truck and replaced it with a chrome one...soon after i added the inserts to replace the honeycomb...looks much better

I did it to but pulled them off and painted the honeycomb black. I really like the way it turned out.

They aren't bad but didn't like having to drill into my shell but they look pretty darn good to me. Not sure they make an entire billet grill for us 2nd genners.

I didn't have to drill with mine... there were 4 pieces each with 2 screwholes... you took basically a thick rectangular piece of metal with a hole, like a big washer (about 2.5 inches long) with a u-clip and put a screw through the holes in the honeycomb into the washer/clip... entire installation took no more than 5 minutes

I have the super cheap aluminum grill inserts. some1 gave them to me. its real close to gutter screen.
I was thinking of putting them on when the grill goes black. I have no mounting hardware, but I think I could rig something like THECODES posted.
