I'm planning on getting new bilstein shocks and struts installed on my 2018 ram crewcab 4x4. The main reason is to level the truck. Two questions:
-The shop says some owners replace the upper control arms when replacing shocks, but they redesigned for 2018 models so it wasn't needed. Any reason to go ahead and replace?
-Any reason to go ahead and replace the rear shocks with bilsteins at the same time? The truck has 30K miles and I don't know of any issues with the rear. Additional cost with labor is $250.
-It sounds like the 2.1 setting is the best setting. Any reason to go to 2.8?
Appreciate your feedback.
