I am getting ready to install some Bilstein's and Mevotech UCAs, and want to make sure I have all the tools required. Is there a list anywhere?

I went to Home depot to grab what I thought I was missing, but want to double check. There's nothing worse than getting halfway through a job and realizing you don't have all the tools you need.

Here's what I have.

  • PB-Blaster (I plan on soaking all bolts 24 hours prior)
  • Spring compressors (rented)
  • Hydraulic Jack and Jack Stands
  • 1/2" Breaker Bar
  • 1/2" Socket Wrench
  • 3/8" Socket Wrench
  • 1/2" Torque Wrench (borrowed)
  • Rubber hammer
  • 5lb Sledge
  • Grease gun
  • Appropriate socket wrench adapters and extensions
  • 15mm Deep 6pt socket
  • 16mm Deep 6pt socket
  • 21mm Deep 6pt socket
  • 22mm Deep 6pt socket
  • 24mm Deep 6pt socket
  • 10mm wrench
  • 17mm offset box wrench
  • Assorted Wrenches and regular sockets 16mm and down
  • Allen key

What am I missing?

i think the new nut on the bilsteins is either 18mm or 19mm so make sure you have an offset box wrench in those sizes

ok, maybe it is 17, i just remember it was a different size than the stock nut...and maybe stock was 18mm? Either way i would have an offset wrench for both sizes. I can confirm the stock size after work if you want,

I'd appreciate it. I can confirm the bilstein after work as well.

though not required, i highly suggest a good impact gun. definetly speeds things up, especially when it comes to the spring compressors.

If your not familiar with this type of work ....
I recommend taking several photos prior to the disassembly , paying close attention to hardware orientation and how many exposed threads beyond the nuts .

And if you haven't seen this post below take a look .

Hope this helps !
